The family loved it—convenient location, comfortable, clean, well equipped, and all of the instructions were clear and well thought out. Fantastic experience overall.

we were able... read more to park but the instructions were not very clear. it suggested we didnt use the street the house is on and park elsewhere? thats not very clear from the description.
Also the heating control is under surveillance from the host and we had to call to ask "permission" to turn it on. Its October and arriving to a stone cold house is unpleasant enough but then not being able to turn on the heating was unfair.
Furthermore the pictures of the "fires" in the property are misleading. these are not for use and some guests might find that misleading.

  Everything we expected. Lovely place to stay if you are thinking of visiting Scarborough, with Whitby only a 30 min drive.

  My family of 5 stayed here for a long weekend.
Due to traffic, we didn't arrive at the property until very late on Friday evening.
There was no outside... read more lighting, steep steps up to the front door and no rail; it wasn't easy to see the code on the keysafe.
There was a little confusion re: keycodes and the WiFi code - the details in the booking emails and online house guide need to be updated as these were incorrect.
There was parking outside the property on the road, but the road is narrow and spaces limited - you need to use parking permit scratch card or disc (provided).
The property itself was very clean, warm & welcoming. Plenty of space for a family of 5. The main bedroom is huge, but the other double bedroom is pretty small and just fits a double bed.
The stairs in the property are quite steep and might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
